The Yellow Jackets used balanced scoring throughout each quarter to dominate Mercer.
The game was played with backup quarterback Matthew Jordan taking over for Justin Thomas in the second half after a minor injury.
Jordan scored two touchdowns. Thomas ran seven times for 69 yards and 5-of-10 passes for 80 yards before exiting the game.
” I think there were some things we did better than a week ago and there were some things that did not,” said Georgia Tech Head Coach Paul Johnson.
“Other than the couple of fumbles I was a little more pleased offensively.”
