
Saturday was a great day for Wildcats football. They defeated Morehouse 52-7 for a homecoming victory. After leading by only three points at halftime 10-7, the Wildcats erupted for 35 points in the third quarter.
The defense accounted for two of the third quarter touchdowns. Demetruis Harris forced a fumble, scooped it up and ran it in for a 15-yard touchdown.
Next, Cameron Young intercepted a pass and took it in for a touchdown. Overall, the defense held Morehouse to 11 rushing yards, forced five turnovers, three fumbles and two interceptions.
Offensively, the Wildcats total yards amounted to 377 vs 191 for Morehouse with an average gain per yard of 6.4 versus 2.9 for Morehouse. Wildcats quarterback Slade Jarman completed 11-of-19 passes
for 196 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for one touchdown. Morehouse only score came from a five-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Michael Sims to Lance Madden in the first quarter.
With the win, FVSU clinch its second straight SIAC Eastern Division Title and will host the championship game at Wildcat Stadium on Saturday, November 11.
