Morehouse Wins Home Opener and Remains Unbeaten 91-86.

The Morehouse Tigers squeaked by previously unbeaten West Georgia Wolves 91-86 in this season first home game to remain unbeaten with a 5-0 record.

Balanced scoring with four tigers posting double figures contributed to the win. Omar Alston led the way with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Morehouse led by as many as 14 points in the second half, but the Wolves closed the gap to three points with 14.2 seconds remaining. However, four successful free throws sealed the game.

The game was evenly matched in almost every category with Morehouse shooting 51.4% from the field versus 48.4% for West Georgia. However, the Tigers scored an extra 10 points in the paint 50-40.

Marquill Smith led the Wolves with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Teammate William Sides contributed 18 points.
