COLUMBUS, GA – After a fairly even contest, Morehouse prevailed to win the annual classic 30-24 over Tuskegee. Statistically, Tuskegee had 21 first downs to Morehouse’s 19. Total rushing yards gave Tuskegee the edge with 197 versus Morehouse 170. When it came to total rushing yards, Morehouse had the slight edge 371 to Tuskegee’s 342. But the time of possession favored Morehouse 48.19 to Tuskegee’s 28.41.
Being that the team’s performance we so even it required three overtimes to crown the annual winner in the contest. And the difference maker was the lead rusher for the game, Morehouse’s star sophomore running back Santo Dunn. Dunn gained 125 of Morehouse’s 170 rushing yards on 18 attempts for a 6.9 average. Dunn had a long run for 42 yards and scored the final two touchdowns of the game to seal the win.
